Hi, I am a beginner to intermediate level at fish keeping. I'm planning to setup a new 30 gal tank with juvenile flowerhorn, as I understand flowerhorns are very agreesive cichlids and hence it is highly recommended to keep them alone in a tank. However I believe this is the case when the flowerhorn is about 4-5 inches and about 8-10 months old. I am actually planning to get juvenile flowerhorns and I was wondering can I keep them with parrot cichlids of the same size and age, or maybe with oscars again of same size and age. Is there a possibility that being raised well in a community setup, growing up they will tend to be a little less aggressive and will continue to live along in a community tank? Of course I plan to move all of them to a bigger 70-100 gal tank in an year as they will tend to grow fast? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
