What mix of fish produces a Flowerhorn?

Hi,


I know that flowerhorns are hybrids so what are the parents?

The price of them is astronomical for just being a "mutt".

Why are these fish in high demand? I saw some on aquabid that ranged as high as 1,200.00 THATS CRAZY!!!

I love my fish and all but wow thats alot to drop on a fish thats a hybrid and may have some major issues later on.

Please help.
